Frequently asked questions about the Torino+Piemonte Card

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the use, benefits and conditions of the Torino+Piemonte Card.

The Torino+Piemonte Card offers free admission for one adult and one child under the age of 12 to numerous top museums, sights and exhibitions in Turin and the surrounding area. These include major museums, castles, fortresses and the royal residences in the region.

The pass also gives you reduced admission to many other cultural sites in Piedmont. The most important tourist services in Turin (such as the panoramic elevator in the Mole Antonelliana, the Sassi-Superga rack railroad, the "Venaria Express" shuttle bus, the City Sightseeing Torino Bus and the Eco City Tour) can also be used at a discount. Cardholders also benefit from discounts on special exhibitions, guided tours, experiences and events throughout the region.

The validity of the Torino+Piemonte Card begins with the first use. The pass (or its QR code) is activated on the first visit to an attraction included in the pass.

From this point on, the time counts for 24, 48, 72 or 120 consecutive hours, depending on the variant purchased. Within this period, the pass can be used as often as desired for different attractions according to its validity.

With the Torino+Piemonte Card, you can visit each included attraction once free of charge. This means that you can visit each museum or attraction once free of charge during the validity period of the card.

With the 24-hour card, a maximum of three free admissions are possible. For cards with longer validity (48, 72 or 120 hours), there is no limit to the number of different attractions you can visit (once per attraction).

The Torino+Piemonte Card itself is not valid as a ticket for public transport, but offers discounts on some tourist means of transport in Turin. For example, cardholders receive discounted tickets for the panoramic elevator in the Mole Antonelliana, the rack railroad from Sassi to Superga, the "Venaria Express" shuttle bus and city tours with the City Sightseeing Bus and the electric Turin Eco City Tour.

In addition, cardholders can purchase a 48-hour or 72-hour ticket for local public transport (bus, streetcar, metro in Turin) at a special price from the tourist information offices.

No, the Torino+Piemonte Card is not a ticket for public transportation (bus, streetcar or metro). You have to buy regular tickets to travel within the city.

However, card holders have the option of purchasing discounted multi-day public transport tickets at the tourist offices (e.g. a 48-hour ticket for approx. €7 or a 72-hour ticket for approx. €9; only sold in conjunction with the pass and while stocks last).

A direct airport transfer is not included in the Torino+Piemonte Card.

However, cardholders receive a discount on the airport shuttle (bus connection between Turin airport and the city), as travel on the Arriva airport bus is discounted for pass holders.

No, the pass does not grant priority entry (fast track) at the attractions.

You still have to show your QR code at the ticket office and get a ticket, i.e. there is no "queue skipping". However, it is advisable to reserve a time slot online in advance for busy museums to reduce waiting times.

The Torino+Piemonte Card automatically covers one child under the age of 12 per card who accompanies the cardholder - this child receives the same free or reduced admission as the adult.

A cheaper junior version of the card (valid for up to 72 hours) is available for young people under the age of 18. There are no other age discounts (no special discounts for senior citizens, students, etc.).

When you buy it online (e.g. via the official website), you will receive a digital voucher with a QR code. This code is ready for immediate use and can be shown at the museum ticket offices directly from your smartphone (or as a printout) to receive your free ticket.

Alternatively, you can also purchase the Torino+Piemonte Card on site - for example at the tourist information offices in Turin (such as in Piazza Castello) or other official points of sale. There you will receive a physical card with a QR code, which you also show at the ticket offices.

Cancellation or refund of the Torino+Piemonte Card is generally possible, but only under certain conditions.

If the pass was purchased online via the official website and has not yet been activated, a refund of 75% of the purchase price can be requested within 365 days (25% cancellation fee). To do this, you must contact Turismo Torino (e.g. by e-mail). Additional tickets already purchased (e.g. for local transport) are excluded from the refund. In the case of third-party providers, their cancellation conditions apply.

The Torino+Piemonte Card is personal and may only be used by the person who purchased it.

Each pass or QR code is individual and non-transferable. It is therefore not possible to pass the card on to third parties.
